2019 Meeting Minutes Read
Motion by Eulin and Second by Winston
2020 Meeting
Old Business
Eulin Gibbs Annual Motion – 1992 or 1993 (he couldn’t even remember the year). He wanted it on the record that Bill played approx 200 rounds that year.
Second by Winston
Discussion – Eulin blew one OB on the first playoff. Duke brought up he couldn’t even vote on it anymore because of a previous years vote. We voted anyways and got 1 sympathy vote lol
Aaron Gibbs Annual Motion – Aaron said he if has a bad first day, he should just pull out to avoid the Louise. Regarding Marshall not playing 2nd day of the 2018 edition
Eulin Second
Marshall said he would accept the 2018 Louise Cup if Drew Gibbs wins the 2003 Billie Plaque
Aaron then revised motion to accept Marshalls provisions
Drew then decided to throw Eulin in the mix as well
Matt then brought up some obscure hole in 2006 that called out the guy who knows the rules of golf like the back of his hands (Derek Camps)
Vote: 37-4 voted down
Previous Billie Stories
Winston – JD was down 5 with 6 holes to go. JD Birdie 3 in a row and squared it up with 2 to go. Ended up going to playoff. Both par the first, JD missed a 4 footer for birdie. Winston makes birdie to win amongst a chorus of boos. Kyle then chimes in “well that’s just ridiculous!”
Paul – 2007 Orange County Panther Lake 17th Hole – Sam Warren dumped one into the pond. Then proceeds to make a par for a hole in 3.
Eulin – Told the Jack and John I won’t tell if you won’t tell story.
Marshall – Played first year in 2001. Have to get new balls, new clothes, new clubs, etc. Marshall self admits he is a head case. Last night he said he wasn’t going to care this year. We all know Marshall won’t be able to hold onto the grip he will be so nervous tomorrow. Everyone concurred with Marshall’s self acceptance as a head case.
New Business
New award for 40-50 year olds
Duke – Admits he is rapidly approaching 40 and has maxed out on the handicap
Meanwhile Eulin tries to call out Kyle for being in contention for the Louise but Lincoln astutely points out that Kyle has won it the same amount of times that Eulin has won it.
Motion is to create a new award for 40-50 year old participants
Matt Allen Second
Eulin – Points out he has been a close 2nd many times in the Sr Open. Claims this is the most ridiculous motion in the 30+ years of the tourney
Duke will amend the motion for 2 years from now and Duke is conveniently 40
Drew then states to just give an award to everyone who plays
Voted Down 35-6
Pick first day playing partners
Kyle makes motion to be able to pick playing partner first day
JD makes heartfelt plea that this is against the spirit of the tournament about being to pick your partner
Lincoln then points out folks wont play if they play with random new people and have been turned down
Duke made mention of players from years past that wont return from previous years
Matt P Second
20-13 voted down
